Mark Mushet is a Vancouver-based freelance photographer with 25 years of professional experience that has included film making, broadcast video production and still photography. His photography work appears in a variety of local, national and international editorial publications, in commercial and educational promotional material in both print and on-line formats, in exhibitions both large and small, and in music packaging for which he’s been nominated for a Juno award.
He is best known for portraiture and has won and/or been nominated for more than a dozen Western (and one National) Magazine Awards.
From 2004 to 2011 he was Creative Director and co-publisher of Vancouver Review magazine, an arts and cultural quarterly for the west coast that enjoyed unparalleled critical success and won or was nominated for countless Western and National Magazine awards in the areas of photography, illustration, art direction and overall publishing excellence.
He is now the Creative Director of Vancouver Review Media, an on-line offshoot of Vancouver Review Magazine. This is an ongoing project that runs parallel to continued freelance work as a producer of stills, video and on-line content for a wide variety of clients.
